Membership

In an age when the legal profession suffers in its role as an ethical and responsible model for society, the Catholic Lawyers Guild of Colorado offers to all Catholic lawyers, but especially to those Catholic lawyers concerned about the current state of our profession, an opportunity to become a part of the Guild’s effort to promote justice and to bring legal disputes to resolution in a manner that dignifies our calling.

The Guild cordially invites all lawyers, judges and other legal professionals to become part of our close- knit group. The Guild will provide you with an opportunity to share lifelong relationships with attorneys and other legal professionals who share your faith and are there for support, encouragement and friendship.

Why should you join the Guild?

“The Guild is close-knit, and there is mentoring for young lawyers – and the support and mentoring continue throughout one’s career.”

“Entities such as the Catholic Lawyers Guild are essential in the training of competent ethical lawyers. Continuing the Catholic Lawyers Guild is therefore not a choice but an obligation to the profession.”

“Being a member feels like a privilege considering the high quality of the membership as a whole.  I appreciate and value the membership’s commitment to practicing law with integrity and a moral compass consistent with our shared faith; I would like the Guild to continue the longstanding tradition of community and fellowship between Catholic lawyers practicing in Colorado.”

“Members of the guild demonstrate such integrity in their personal lives and careers. I want the Guild to continue to help us remain true to our values.”

“I was raised in a large Polish extended family in Detroit.  My Catholicism is closely tied to my ethnicity.  I enjoy the shared experience of being Catholic with other Members in the Guild. I was first drawn to the Guild in 2001 when suffering a severe bout with cancer.”

“I felt the Holy Spirit guided people to step out of their comfort zone and share situations in which they felt God ‘pulled the strings’; perhaps we can all practice the art of listening to people we don’t agree with without trying to change them or vice versa.”
